PH Aware Podcast

Earlier this year, I (Victoria) had the privilege of speaking on the PHAware podcast. PHAware is dedicated to raising global awareness about pulmonary hypertension through innovative outreach and engagement, with the ultimate goal of forging a path toward a cure. Steve Van Wormer, the founder of PHAware, interviewed me for the episode. Sadly, we shared a heartbreaking bond—the loss of our sons to pulmonary hypertension.

Throughout our conversation, I was deeply moved by Steve’s unwavering dedication to this cause. His passion was evident, not only in his work but in his personal commitment to helping others navigate the complexities of this disease.

As I continue to meet more parents who have also faced loss, one thing remains clear: there’s a shared drive to keep our children's legacies alive by telling their stories, connecting with others, and turning our grief into action—whether through fundraising, awareness campaigns, or advocacy. It’s a profound reminder that even in the face of loss, there is power in community, and in working together toward change.
